The 2019 Newbie Prize in Portugal was won by entrepreneur Raquel Alves, owner of the Ervitas Catitas brand, dedicated to the production and sale of Organic Aromatic Herbs and Essential Oils. The Newbie project (2018-2021) aims to identify innovative, entrepreneurial and resilient business models that enable new agricultural entrepreneurs to successfully establish sustainable agricultural businesses in Europe. In Portugal, the project focuses on the Alentejo region and new agricultural entrepreneurs who promote the marketing of their products mainly through short supply chains.
